Settings

Most gameplay settings live inside the game. TabWorld keeps a few launcher preferences in your browser.

Where settings live
Nickname, controls, graphics, and audio are configured in the game’s Options and Edit Profile screens. TabWorld stores its server list and a remembered nickname locally.

Nickname

Set your in-game name via Edit Profile. TabWorld can remember a nickname on the Play page for convenience.

Controls

Key bindings and mouse sensitivity are in the in-game Options → Controls. On touch devices, on-screen controls appear automatically.

Graphics

  • Render distance, FOV, and graphics quality in Options → Video.
  • Lower render distance and effects on weaker devices.

Audio

Volume sliders are in Options → Music & Sounds. Audio requires a tap or key press to start, due to browser autoplay rules.

Performance

  • Close other heavy tabs to free memory.
  • Lower render distance and disable shaders if the framerate drops.

Storage

Worlds and resources are saved in IndexedDB; settings and the server list in local storage — all in your browser.

Restore defaults

Reset game settings from the in-game Options. To reset the launcher, use “Clear cache” in the launcher top bar. Clearing browser site data resets everything but also deletes saved worlds — export first.
