Browser Support

TabWorld runs on modern browsers. Here is what works, and the features it depends on.

Supported browsers

  • Chrome / Edge — recommended, best performance.
  • Safari — supported on recent macOS and iOS.
  • Firefox — supported; performance varies by device.

Mobile

The runtime detects touch input and switches to a touch mode automatically. Smaller screens are harder to play on — landscape orientation and a recent browser help a lot.

Web features used

  • WebGL — required to render the 3D world (WebGL 2 enables extra effects).
  • WebAssembly — required for the game runtime.
  • IndexedDB — stores your worlds and resources.
  • LocalStorage — stores settings, profile, and the server list.
  • WebSocket — used to connect to multiplayer servers.

School or restricted networks

Restricted networks may block WebSockets or the runtime files, which prevents launching or joining servers. If the page loads but the game will not start or connect, the network may be filtering content.

Privacy
Worlds, settings, and your server list stay on your device. TabWorld does not collect data it does not need.
